Who can submit?

Authors

Authors may propose their own original work and should provide the book information, a brief proposal or manuscript summary, and confirmation that they control the rights needed to submit it.

Publishers

Publishers may propose books on behalf of authors. The publisher is responsible for obtaining and retaining written permission or an agreement from the relevant author(s) and rights holders and for confirming its authority to publish and distribute the book through PYE.

Publishing process

  1. 1. Apply through the author portal

Select Apply for Free and sign in with your Google (Gmail) account. For your first submission, complete your public author profile and provide your first manuscript. Approved authors use the same portal for later books without applying as an author again. Publishers or representatives should contact PYE to confirm their submission arrangement.

  2. 2. Upload the EPUB and book details

Provide the title, author/co-author information, language, subject/category, intended audience, description, cover and EPUB. Your manuscript files remain private during review. You can track each book and its submitted versions through your author portal.

  3. 3. Confirm publishing rights

Authors should confirm that they have authority to submit their work. Publishers must obtain and retain written permission or a publishing agreement from the relevant author(s) and any other rights holders, and confirm they are authorized to publish and distribute the book through PYE. Evidence may be requested.

  4. 4. PYE reviews your profile and manuscript

Author enrollment and book acceptance are separate decisions. The administrator may approve your author profile while rejecting a particular manuscript. Editorial feedback, revision requests and book decisions are recorded in your portal. Submit a new EPUB version when revisions are requested. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or a publication date.

  5. 5. Agree on the publishing terms

A royalty share of up to 75% may be offered, depending on the specific book, publishing arrangement and other relevant factors. The actual royalty rate, together with permitted uses, price and format, any fees, update responsibilities, and term or withdrawal conditions, will be finalized in the signed publishing contract. No fixed royalty rate is guaranteed before that contract is signed.

  6. 6. Complete subject review and final proofreading

Accepted manuscripts are assigned to approved subject reviewers/proofreaders. After the current version passes review and the administrator clears publication, PYE finalizes the catalogue details and publishes the proofread EPUB. Your portal provides the published edition and aggregate sales status. Order value is separate from contract-based royalties and payouts.

1. Rights, permissions and copyright

The submitting author or publisher must have authority to submit the book and secure permissions for third-party content such as images, lengthy quotations, tables, translations or other protected material. Publishers must keep written author/rights-holder permissions or the publishing agreement and provide confirmation or evidence if requested. Copyright remains with the author or relevant rights holder unless a separate valid written agreement states otherwise. Submission to PYE does not by itself transfer copyright to PYE.

2. Content and legal compliance

Authors remain responsible for the content they create. Publishers submitting another person's work are responsible for verifying their publishing authority and the permissions supporting the submission. The submitting party should ensure that the book does not knowingly infringe intellectual-property rights, violate privacy, contain unlawful material, or misrepresent authorship or permissions.

3. Review and acceptance

Publishing access is not automatic. PYE reviews inquiries and may request clarification, supporting documents or revisions, or decline a submission. PYE does not routinely provide rigorous academic peer review, comprehensive fact-checking, professional copyediting or legal review. Preliminary screening is not a certification of accuracy, originality, quality or legal compliance.

4. Commercial and publication terms

A royalty share of up to 75% may be offered, but this is not a fixed or guaranteed rate. The actual share depends on the individual book, publishing arrangement and other relevant factors, and will be finalized in the signed publishing contract. Price, format, any fees, payment arrangements, permitted distribution, exclusivity (if any), publication timing, updates and withdrawal conditions must also be recorded in the applicable written agreement before the book is listed. No specific royalty rate, fee arrangement, sales level, publication date or distribution reach is guaranteed before agreement.

5. Platform rights and book management

The applicable written agreement should identify the limited permissions PYE needs to host, display, promote, distribute and sell the approved eBook through the agreed services. Do not submit a book unless the relevant author, publisher and rights holders have agreed to those uses. Requests to update or withdraw a published book should be raised with PYE and handled under the applicable agreement and legal requirements.

6. Complaints and enforcement

Rights holders and readers may report concerns about copyright, permissions, inaccurate representations or potentially unlawful content through the Contact page. PYE may request documentation, temporarily restrict access while reviewing a concern, or reject, suspend or remove a listing where appropriate, subject to applicable law and the relevant agreement.

This page is an overview of PYE's submission process and general expectations, not a substitute for a signed publishing agreement or legal advice. Specific rights and obligations depend on the applicable written agreement and relevant law. PYE may update its procedures; the terms confirmed for a particular book should be recorded in writing before publication.
